Shown below, are two photos.  In the first photo, I am wearing the JSU-TV vest that I wore when I worked the cutaway camera for JSU’s Welcoming Ceremony.  The second photo shows a closeup of the JSU-TV logo that is on the vest.

  • During this segment of Metro Morning Live, I shadowed the producer on the control board.  I took note of the way that he switched between cameras.  I also sent the show to its commercial break once the segment was completed.
  • During this segment of Metro Morning Live, I operated Studio Camera 1.  When operating Camera 1, I have to quickly change the shots and pass along signals to the anchor from inside of the control room.

  • During this segment of Metro Morning Live, all roles were filled; however, I assisted the staff with the distribution of microphones and the set up of the set in terms of adding chairs to compliment the number of guests.
  • I worked Studio Camera 2 during this segment of Metro Morning Live.  When operating Studio Camera 2, my job is to fix the shot on the guest.

  • During this segment of Metro Morning Live, I operated the teleprompter.  Although it was a live interview, a script leading in to the interview exists; therefore, my job as teleprompter operator is to roll the script, right before the interview begins.

  • This segment of Metro Morning Live was pre-recorded and aired at a later date.  Although I did not help with the recording of the segment, I shadowed the producer and the way he handled playing the video as if it were live.  I also sent the show to commercial after the segment ended.

**The news segments of Metro Morning Live are not available online or on archive; however, I do work with and assist with these things.  For many stories, especially after midterms, I worked teleprompter, rolling scripts for packages and voice overs.  I also worked the studio cameras on some occasions. **
